No Surgical Strike by Indian Army, Only Terrorists Killed in Encounter

The Indian government on Wednesday denied reports of a surgical strike by the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir. The government said that an infiltration bid was foiled by the security forces in the Keran sector of the Kashmir Valley.

“There was no surgical strike by the Indian Army. An infiltration bid was foiled by the security forces in the Keran sector,” said a government spokesperson.

The spokesperson said that the security forces had been on alert following intelligence inputs about an infiltration attempt. The forces intercepted a group of terrorists who were trying to cross the Line of Control (LoC).

The terrorists were killed in the ensuing encounter. The spokesperson said that the security forces are maintaining a high alert in the Kashmir Valley and are prepared to deal with any situation.

The denial of a surgical strike comes after some media reports claimed that the Indian Army had carried out a surgical strike in the Keran sector. The reports said that the strike was carried out in response to the recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Army has not commented on the reports. However, the government’s denial suggests that the reports are false.

The denial of a surgical strike is a significant development. It comes at a time when the Indian government is under pressure to take action against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The government has been criticized for its handling of the Kashmir situation.

The denial of a surgical strike may be seen as an attempt by the government to calm the situation and to avoid further escalation. However, it remains to be seen whether the denial will be enough to satisfy the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir have been demanding action against terrorism for a long time. They have been critical of the government’s handling of the situation. The denial of a surgical strike may not be enough to satisfy the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The government will need to take more concrete steps to address the concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It will need to take action against terrorism and to ensure the safety of the people. Only then will the people of Jammu and Kashmir be satisfied.
